Background and aim: uterine rupture is a rare occurrence during pregnancy that can occur in the uterus containing scars and without scars. It can often be associated with serious complications and a high prevalence of mortality and morbidity in the mother and the fetus. Therefore, a case report of a uterus rupture following saffron syrup is presented to prevent similar cases.
Patient introduction: In this article, there is a case of uterine rupture. A mother of 34 years old G2p1, 39 weeks old, who was referred to the maternity ward at 7:20 Am with complications of labor pain, and according to the mother, before entering the hospital, concentrated syrup Saffron has used. In the control of the abdomen suddenly, the heart rate of the fetus dropped to 100-90. The uterus was swollen and swollen to the umbilical cord and organs from the abdomen, the mother immediately recovered cesarean section and uterine rupture, The boy was born with a 5-4 Apgar, who died later.
Conclusion: Saffron syrup (over) before libra was involved in contractions of the uterine hypertrophy and rupture of the uterus, and the cesarean delivery and uterus delivery were restored.
