Background & Aim: psychological capital is a positive psychology concept that dealing with the personal perception, problem solving and distress tolerance the persons. This concept helps people to have enough resiliencies to facing the problems. Thus, the aim of present research was Comparison of Psychological Capital and Distress Tolerance between Postmenopausal women with and without Depression Symptom.
Material & Method: The research design is Ex-post facto method.  The Population research contained all of Women aged 50 to 55 years old that referred to Cultural Houses in third Municipality of Tehran by 2016. The fifty women with depression symptoms and fifty women none depression symptoms total 100 women selected by randomize sampling method. The data collected by Distress Tolerance Scale, Beck Depression Inventory and psychological capital questionnaire. The data analyzed by Multivariate analysis of variance and with SPSS version 21.
Results: The findings showed that there was the significant difference between women with two groups of women in Psychological Capital scores (p<0/05). The women without depression symptoms had higher scores in psychological capital than other group. In addition, there was a significant difference between Distress Tolerance scores (p<0/05).  Therefore, the women with depression symptoms had lower scores in distress Tolerance than other group.
Conclusion: the results indicated that the two psychological variables including; psychological capital and distress tolerance could be playing key role in adjustment and resiliency of women in menopausal period. Thus, the researchers suggest that the mental health professionals who worked with this population of women could be consider those psychological components in healing and therapeutic interventions in women.
