Introduction. Chronic renal failure is a progressive disease in which kidney function is impaired, so that the body can not metabolize and maintain fluid balance and electrolytes. thus, recent study evaluated the effect of 8 weeks aerobic training on some electrolytic indices in dialysis patients.
Materials and Methods. The subjects of this study were Imam Jafar Sadegh Hospital of dialysis patients who were randomly divided into two control group (n=10) and training group(n=13). The exercise group performed the training program 3 days a week for 8 weeks. After eight weeks electrolyte indices including calcium, phosphorus, potassium and sodium were measured.
Result: The findings showed that aerobic training led to a significant reduction in plasma sodium(p=0.001), potassium(p=0.000) and phosphorus(p=0.001) levels, but plasma calcium(p=0.068) did not change significantly in the training group.
Conclusions: It seems that aerobic training can be effective treatment in In improving electrolytic indices dialysis patients.
