Background & Aim: Although the majority of research has shown a positive attitude towards evidence-based care, but in practice this care is not used . Nurses who act based on the scientific evidence have been able to make better decisions.  this study aims to review the barriers to implementing evidence-based care from the perspective of nurses in the literatures.
Material & Methods: In this study, a review was carried out by searching the Iranian data bases of Magiran, SID, and English language; Google scholar, Scopus, Ovid, Science Direct, ProQuest, Ovid, PubMed with the key words of "evidence-based nursing" and "nursing". 38 articles that had the inclusion criteria were evaluated.

Results: The review of literature showed that the barriers for applying evidence based practice included in five categories including: personal obstacles, management and educational issues, related to the evidence, and environmental factors.

Conclusion: The issue of evidence-based nursing is facing a lot of problems in implementation. effective searching databases, access to libraries in hospitals improving the professional knowledge of nursing managers, organizing the shifts, the provision of efficient human resources and encourage the employees to provide evidence-based care are recommended to promote the use of Scientific and updated evidences among nurses.
