Chronic high blood suger leads to acute and chronic complications. Patients' knowledge about the related Complications and Cares can lead to prevention and control of disease progress. The aim of this study was to determine patients knowledge about diabetes complications and cares. Material & Methods: In this descriptive study, 160 diabetic patients that referdt to hospitals and health centers of neyshabur were selected using purposive sampling. Data were gathered by a questionnaire consisting of two parts: demographic information and self-made questionnaire (α=0.85). The data were analyzed by SPSS 17 software, using Pearson correlation, t-test and ANOVA. Results: The overall knowledge of majority of patients 62.5% about complications was moderate. The lowest score was related to the knowledge of how to wash feet 53.1%. The level of awareness of how to check feet daily in majority of patients was poor. Statistically significant correlations were observed between age and knowledge of how blood flow in the legs,duration of diabetes and knowledge about nephropathy, also Statistically significant correlations were observed between previous teaching experience and knowledge of how to check feet daily,proper washing and how to maintain good blood flow in the legs (p=0.00).
