On the other hand, cardiovascular disease is one of the most common chronic diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of e-Learning based on the dimensions of health literacy in patients with ischemic heart disease. Material & Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted on 60 patients with ischemic heart disease who referred to hospitals of Lorestan University of Medical Sciences. To collect data, a researcher made questionnaire of health literacy was used. Patients who selected based on inclusion criteria divided randomly into two groups of experimental and control groups. Patients’ awareness was evaluated before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using chi-square test, independent t-test, Fisher exact test and Mann-Whitney U. Results: The results showed that there were not significantly differences in terms of gender, age, marital status, economic situation and income, number of children, and insurance status between two groups (p<0.05). In addition, the scores of four dimensions such as “awareness of the disease, physical activity, diet and medication” increased in intervention group after the study. There were a statistically significant increase in every four dimensions, as well as health literacy scores at the end of study (p<0.05).
