Introduction & Objective: Sleep is one of the basic human needs. Diseases can have a negative effect on sleep or, conversely, poor sleep quality can lead to symptoms. Evaluate the study with the aim of determining the quality of sleep in patients admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit of educational and medical centers affiliated to Golestan University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study. Samples were selected according to the inclusion criteria. A valid and reliable questionnaire of sleep disorders in heart patients was used to collect data. Data were analyzed in SPSS software version 16 using descriptive and inferential statistical tests (p <0.05).

Results: The results showed that the mean and standard deviation of the sleep disorder score in patients admitted to the ccu ward (50.46 ± 61.14 on the first day and 54.43 ± 14.29 on the second day) was moderate. Sleep disorders have a statistically significant relationship with age. There is a statistically significant relationship between sleep disorders and education. In illiterate patients, the severity of sleep disorders was higher.
Conclusion: Considering the moderate level of sleep disorders in coronary heart disease patients in this study, a comprehensive and complete examination of the patient and the development of care plan and nursing measures planned to improve the sleep status of hospitalized patients is necessary.
