Background and purpose: Kidney bleeding usually occurs due to injuries caused by surgery, a rare but life-threatening complication after operations such as angiography. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to report a rare case of kidney bleeding after angiography.
Case report: The patient is a 72-year-old woman who complained of shortness of breath and chest pain and went to a medical center in Golestan province and underwent angiography. The results of angiography showed the closure of the right coronary artery and the left anterior descending branch of the heart and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is performed for the patient. The day after the operation, the patient has low blood pressure, shortness of breath, abdominal pain. CT scan findings showed left renal artery bleeding. On January 8, 2023, due to the inability to control the bleeding, a nephrectomy was performed for the patient. The patient suffered a cardiac-respiratory arrest on 14 January 2023 at 12:15. The resuscitation operation was carried out for 45 minutes and the patient died at 13:00.

Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, timely diagnosis and treatment of bleeding after surgery can lead to successful treatment and survival of the patient.
